Wish you were here ☔

image

Raining, windy and miserable, with a car stocked up with lots of food and goodies the bestie and I headed up the North Coast on our little road trip adventure today!

image

A first road trip for my little Jerome and the boy did good!!! 🙂

image

Today as it was so cold and wet I made sure to layer up to the max, adding the coat it was a 5 thin layer kinda day!
Today’s outfit was from Limited for Marks and Spencer, Primark and GAP.

image

Initially we had decided we would go to Dunluce Castle, Old Bushmills Distillery and The Ramore Wine Bar in Portrush.  However plans changed and we decided to swap Dunluce Castle for Mussenden Temple instead, I’ve always wanted to go here and Sarah was totally up for it too, even in the terrible weather!!!

image

Even in the miserable weather it was beautiful (but we will definitely be returning again on a better day to check out the views). £4.95 per person, which gave you entry to the whole area and included a free tea or coffee in Hezlett House.

image

It was definitely worth the money! However we only went to the temple today due to the weather.

image

image

image

If you have a fear of sheep this maybe isn’t the place for you, there are sheep free and roaming about the areas you walk through to get to the temple.

Pictures of the views from the Temple.

image

image

image

image

And on our way back to the car we walked through what we think was the ruins of the Demense.

image

image

image

A quick warm up, brush of the hair and long dry off we headed to The Old Bushmills Distillery. Unfortunately you aren’t allowed to take any pictures inside due to health and safety but these are the ones I did get. Ps it’s £7.50 per adult and that includes your tour and a glass of whiskey or a soft drink at the end.

Next stop after working up a massive appetite (yeah all the goodies we bought weren’t even touched, but don’t worry they won’t go to waste) we headed off to The Ramore Wine Bar. This is one of our favourite places to eat up the North Coast and I have to say, for me it’s one of the main reasons I go up!

image

For starters we went for the nachos at £4.95, so delicious and we even had to give up 3/4 of the way through (to leave room for dessert of course).

image

Mains we went for burgers, I had the Harbour burger £3.95 and a side of skinny fries £1.95. I can’t remember the name of Sarah’s burger but it had chilli chicken, bacon, the lot on it, hers was £5.95 I think and then a side of garlic chips £1.95. All that alongside two cokes was £22.80 for the pair of us and oh my word was it good, and so filling!

However with a dessert selection like this. . .

image

image

image

image

image

image

image

We of course had to get some!!!

image

We went for the £5.00 trio of desserts. Loads of miniatures to chose from we picked the St Honore Gateau, a nutella macaroon and the salted chocolate caramel torte, all completely to die for.  We even brought some home. . .

image

Despite the wet, windy and cold weather we had a great day out, loads of giggles, food and beautiful sites.  We definitely are lucky to live in such a stunning place!!!

What do your pj’s say about you?

image

What do your pj’s say about you? Rarely do I wear matching pj’s and I’m loving my new bottoms from Primark! My top is an oldie but so comfy, so what would a psychologist say about my choice lol. . . Maybe unintentionally I’m portraying some inner feelings lol.

Comfort over style for lounging about the house and heading to bed!

Rock those pj’s tonight girlies!

Happy Mother’s Day

image

Happy Mother’s Day to my mum and my best friend!

image

image

image

image

I may shout and argue with my mum and she may drive me mad at times but I wouldn’t change her for the world!

image

image

image

image

My mum is the strongest person I know she’s been through so much and hasn’t let any of it beat her!

image

image

image

image

I drive her crazy and make her worry, she does so much for me and I don’t tell her enough how thankful I am!

image

image

image

image

Through my best and worst times my mum has always been there for me and I know she always, always will be!

image

image

image

image

I’ve learnt so much from her and I get my strength and independence from her!

image

image

image

image

To my mum on Mother’s Day a massive THANK YOU for everything you do for me, for putting up with me, ALWAYS being there for me, teaching me to be the strong and independent person I am and for being my BEST FRIEND!

image

I love you!!!

Girly Day

image

Had a fab time up in Belfast today with my mama bear, a wee girly day filled with shopping and a cheeky cocktail.

image

I went for a bit of a lighter outfit hoping for Spring, but I have to say even with my boots on I was a tad cold! My OOTD was; black ankle boots from Office, black jodhpurs by Gok Wan, black camisole from Marks and Spencer, denim shirt and necklaces from Primark.

image

First off mum and I started off with some lunch in Deli Lites the first time I’ve been and it was lovely. I also really liked the natural energy drink from Little Big Shot Energy I’ll definitely be looking out for it again!

image

Finished off with a gorgeous Deluxe Caramel Macchiatto.

Onwards to the shops!

image

Some of the accessories I picked up in Primark, Topshop and Warehouse.

image

And the rest.

image

Beauty treats I picked up from Primarknailsinc and Benefit.

image

In the hope for Spring and the better weather I picked up these sandals from Primark.

From Primark I also picked up these pj bottoms, skirt, underwear sets and dress.

image

image

image

image

Marks and Spencer have their 50% sale on and I picked up this gorgeous dress.

image

I’m really loving the pastel colours in the shops at the minute so I couldn’t resist this lemon jumper from Dunnes.

image

In between hitting the shops mum and I called into The Northern Whig for a cocktail break! Some of the nicest and well priced cocktails in town in my opinion!

image

image

image

image

Most definitely a fun and successful mum and daughter day out, we’re pooped!

Happy Saturday!
