Once upon a time

image

Today I went with one of my besties to see Cinderella.  I wasn’t too sure about it as little miss single I thought it would be so depressing and sickly sweet but I really loved it.  As my bestie said, it’s melting my frozen heart!

So I became a little crazy and remade my own Cinderella quotes and found some others I loved!

3 for 2, time for something new!

image

Check out the goodies I picked up this weekend in Accessorize!

image

Even cuter when they all come individually wrapped.

image

Initially I had went in to buy this little beauty, something I promised myself when pay day came around. This is the Shah Jahan Statement Necklace at £17.00.

When I went in I spotted that this weekend it was 3 for 2 so I thought I would treat myself to a few other pieces that caught my eye.

image

This is the Lucky Treble Row Statement Necklace at £17.00.

image

And the final statement necklace I chose was the Flower Bobble Necklace at £15.00.

In a separate transaction seeing as I had a few cheaper items and still wanted to go the 3 for 2 and get my money’s worth these are the items I went for.

image

I loved this Delicate Turq Drop Anklet which will be gorgeous against a tan for £5.00.

image

I also went for this gold infinity necklace (unfortunately I can’t find it on the website for the link) at £6.00.

image

Finally in this 3 for 2 I went for this selection of Paradise Eclectic Stud Earrings at £6.00.

Loving my new pieces and I can’t wait to wear them this Spring/Summer! Stay up to date with how and when I wear them on my instagram account @zeejay86

Girls

image

So it’s a given fact that girls are the bitchiest people around, it’s true, no matter how nice you are you will have said, thought or done at least one bitchy thing in your life.  So why, why do it, us girls should be sticking together! I have to admit that yes, at times I too can be a bitch. Never in my life being one of the popular girls (cue mean girls scenes coming into your head) I always seemed or seem to bitch about the girls who bitch about me or my friends.  This can be them being bitches to your face, behind your back, stirring things or causing drama. So to me as wrong as no doubt it is I think well yeah you bitch about me, talk about me, stir things, are fake to me and try to act like my best friend for information and drama I will state the obvious about you and be the bitch in return!

I asked before why do girls do it? The most common thing you hear is ‘oh it’s because they are jealous of you’, I never much believed that. I mean my life what is there to be jealous of? This last year of my life has been pretty pants, 50% of the time I’m in fear, scared that my cancer is back, I have anxiety, suffer from panic attacks and I’m on anti depressants. Wow the real rock and roll lifestyle there. Im not like all of the beautiful girls, I don’t get all the guys, I’m overweight and I know it, I’m not cocky or confident but I can act well and come across as a ‘normal’ person. But I did find out the other day that one person who I know has bitched and gossiped about me and no doubt still does is actually jealous of me!!!! Yeah I was liked what are you serious?!?!?

Not admitted by her of course but someone close. It really did shock me because instead of pretending to be a friend and instead being a bitch to me and saying things to hurt me and cut me down, if she took the time to be a proper friend she would see there’s not one thing to be jealous of!!!

So before you be that bitch girls try and walk a day in their shoes and you’ll soon see they have just as many problems and insecurities as you!

Fancy a cuppa?

image

Had a pretty productive little day yesterday. Met up with my bestie from work for breakfast and some work chat aka ‘planning’ ( I use this term loosely lol) which ended up with a trip down the peninsula and to

Eden Pottery.

image

It’s been years since I had visited and couldn’t believe the change.

image

A gorgeous building where you can buy pieces of pottery, have something to eat and paint your own piece.

image

image

image

image

image

image

We went for 2 decaf lattes and a slice of cake to share, this cost £7 and was delicious.
image

Never mind the food being so tempting I was also dying to paint my own piece, something I’d never done before but always wanted to try. The mug I chose was £16, I was surprised by the price as I thought it would be much more expensive!

image

The girl in charge of this area was really good, she gave a simple instruction on what to do and how to use the sponge stampers. Her tips were great and she was on hand for any help! I decided to use all stampers rather than free hand on my mug.

I really enjoyed painting my mug, it was really nice to just chill out and I found it so relaxing! I can’t wait to see my finished cup when I go back and pick it up in a few days after it’s been glazed. Don’t worry I will keep you all updated!

In the mean time if you want to visit Eden Pottery you can check out the website,

Afternoon Tea by the sea

2015/03/img_8816.jpg

Everyone loves the treat and experience of Afternoon Tea and I’m always keeping my eyes open for new places to try. Last week as the final part of my birthday treat and birthday weekend Mum and I went to The Salty Dog in Bangor.

2015/03/img_8817.png

For £10 per person with tea and coffee you get a selection of sandwiches, scones, chocolate shot, fudge, macaroon and ganache. With a £4 supplement charge for a glass of Prosecco.

2015/03/img_8808.jpg

We got chicken and salmon sandwiches, however we don’t like salmon, but they happily changed them to more chicken (I would make sure to ask about the sandwiches or give my preferences beforehand).

2015/03/img_8806.jpg

Our scones were plain (perfect for me) and an apple and cinnamon scone (one of Mum’s favorites).

2015/03/img_8807.jpg

The top layer was filled with the yummy sweet treats.

2015/03/img_8798.jpg

I think my favourite had to be the chocolate milkshake like shot, and for someone who doesn’t like fudge it was delicious!

2015/03/img_8797.jpg

2015/03/img_8802.jpg

I don’t like Prosecco and mum was driving so I decided to go for a cocktail alongside the afternoon tea.

2015/03/img_8805.jpg

I had the Doghouse, which from memory I think was; gin, raspberry purée, lemon juice and ginger ale.

2015/03/img_8799.jpg

With a lovely atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and extremely helpful and friendly staff we would definitely recommend The Salty Dog for a spot of Afternoon Tea beside the sea!

Who fancies a picnic?

2015/03/img_8814.png

Last week I shared with you pictures from my birthday weekend, some of those pictures were of my birthday dinner/picnic with Dad and I promised to tell you more about it.

2015/03/img_8789.jpg

There are a lot of restaurants on my Places to Eat list and Teddy’s was one I really wanted to try for their quirky picnic style afternoon tea. I love a bit of quirkiness and something different so this was right down my street, even though Dad put up a bit of a grumble because ‘it’s sandwiches and I’ll still be hungry’. Can I just say he was left eating his words.

2015/03/img_8813.png

Originally I had spotted the Picnic on Teddy’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Teddys-of-Bangor/111239052235572 from these cool photos.

2015/03/img_8810.jpg

2015/03/img_8811.jpg

2015/03/img_8812.jpg

Food looked delicious and the mini picnic table was so mega cute!!! The price also enhanced the appeal of the experience, £12.95 per person with unlimited tea and coffee.

2015/03/img_8815.jpg

Mini burgers, BLT (Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato) sandwiches, quiche, chicken skewers/kebabs with a spicy dip and a mini bucket of chips hit the savory cravings.

2015/03/img_8791.jpg

2015/03/img_8790.jpg

2015/03/img_8796.jpg

2015/03/img_8793.jpg

2015/03/img_8795.jpg

The sweet treats were; strawberry milkshakes, chocolate mousse, sticky toffee pudding with sauce and a berry pavlova style dessert.

2015/03/img_8792.jpg

2015/03/img_8794.jpg

I 100% would recommend this little treat! I love it when you can have a little bit of everything, especially when it all tastes so good, and at a great price! For your own little picnic contact Teddy’s to book, and enjoy!!
